CADFEM x INYO Mobility

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming colleagues from CADFEM Europe GmbH to our new HQ in Grafing.

What connects CADFEM and INYO?

Beyond our shared affiliation with the CADFEM Group, we are united by a clear thematic focus: the future of autonomous mobility.

At CADFEM, this topic is being advanced on two complementary levels:

1️⃣ Strategic investment in INYO Mobility

Through its investment, the CADFEM Group supports the development of our autonomous lightweight shuttle, designed specifically for the “last mile” as a feeder to public transport. The enthusiasm for our concept and the conviction that autonomous micro‑mobility creates real value were evident from the very beginning.

2️⃣ Simulation of autonomous systems

In parallel, CADFEM is developing an end‑to‑end simulation chain that digitally represents all relevant domains—from road environments and traffic participants to sensor technology, vehicle dynamics, and traffic regulations.

This level of complexity enables a crucial capability: digital homologation.

Before a new operational area is launched, the safety and behavior of the vehicle can be validated entirely in a digital environment—and subsequently verified together with INYO in real‑world testing. This approach is efficient, scalable, and future‑oriented.

Naturally, many additional partners and technologies are involved in this project—an ecosystem of this scale requires broad collaboration. What makes it particularly compelling is that many of the companies essential to the simulation chain are part of the CADFEM Group or belong to CADFEM’s start‑up investments.

For us at INYO, this exchange once again highlights the value of combining simulation expertise, technological innovation, and real‑world vehicle development to bring autonomous mobility to market in a safe, reliable, and economically viable way.
