Autonomous driving has long since become a reality. The technology is evolving rapidly and will fundamentally transform the way we move in the future. As a company specializing in modular, autonomous shuttle systems, we are experiencing this transformation firsthand. Against this backdrop, we partnered with the Allianz Center for Technology (AZT) to organize a symposium during the IAA Mobility in Munich, bringing together leaders from politics, science, and industry.

On September 10, around 100 experts gathered to discuss concrete applications for autonomous vehicles. A key takeaway: small, self-driving shuttles will soon play a decisive role by bridging the gap between the final public transport stop and the passenger's front door—the much-cited "first and last mile." This is precisely why INYO develops electric, autonomous lightweight shuttles designed to meaningfully complement existing mobility services and relieve the burden on both urban and rural areas. "Many people still have genuine concerns when it comes to autonomous driving. Therefore, it is crucial to build trust, share the vision, and promote acceptance," emphasized Lucie Bakker, Chief Claims Officer at Allianz Versicherungs-AG, in her opening remarks. "This requires comprehensive cooperation—and Allianz is happy to support this, as insurability is and will remain a vital topic in mobility." For us at INYO, this intensive exchange confirms once again how essential partnership-based cooperation and transparent communication are to making autonomous mobility safe, accessible, and suitable for everyday use.
