Real-World Testing at Paderborn Airport
A significant milestone for INYO Mobility: As part of the NeMo.Bil project, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, we successfully performed our first autonomous transit demonstration under real-world conditions.
The first official test drives took place at Paderborn Airport. With curious guests on board, the INYO CAB reached speeds of up to 50 km/h on the track. The event led to many inspiring conversations about the future of rural public transport.
Advancing our Autonomous Transit Demonstration in Rural Areas
The INYO CAB is part of a clear vision: to create a flexible, autonomous public transport system for rural areas that is emission-free, demand-oriented, and comfortable. Our goal is to make public transit as convenient as a private car but significantly more sustainable.
As the consortium leader in the NeMo.Bil project, we are particularly proud of the productive and collaborative partnership with NeMoBi e.V. and the many dedicated project participants. This autonomous transit demonstrationshowcased the power of collective innovation.
Media Coverage and Future Outlook
We were thrilled by the strong media interest in our work. The autonomous transit demonstration was covered by a TV crew, and you can watch the full report [here]. Additionally, the BILD newspaper reported on the NeMo.Bil initiative and our INYO CAB [here].
We are working with full energy on the further development of our vehicle both technically and conceptually. We look forward to sharing more progress and news with you in the coming months.
Let’s drive the future of mobility — together!
