Kick-off of Innovative New Mobility: NeMo.bil Project Secures €30 Million Funding

A major success for the NeMo.bil project consortium (New Mobility): we have been awarded a total of €30 million in funding by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. In the "NeMo.bil" project in Paderborn, INYO Mobility is working together with partners from industry and academia to develop an innovative, swarm-capable mobility approach for sustainable and demand-responsive passenger and freight transport in rural areas. Central components include automated and lightweight vehicles that expand public transportation.
The goal of the NeMo.bil project is to implement an innovative mobility approach that brings significant improvements in user acceptance, costs, resource utilization, and emissions. The system enables individual public mobility that will be as comfortable as using one's own car. INYO Mobility GmbH plays a central role in this regard. We lead the consortium in the project and provide electrified lightweight vehicles as the basis for the development of the swarm-capable NeMo Cab. Together with CADFEM Germany GmbH, responsible for simulation topics in automated driving within the project, a connection is established to Upper Bavaria. The Ebersberg district is a partner in the NeMo.bil project and facilitates a broader impact beyond Paderborn, as well as the adaptation of the system for the Munich metropolitan area.
The following 20 partners form the consortium for the implementation of the "NeMo.bil" project:
Brummelte und Lienen Werkzeugbau
Technische Hochschule Augsburg
OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts
